Best Garden Awards Competition

All the gardens are judged by the Councillor Site Reps twice a year - at the end of May and at the middle of July. The following awards are made:-

Best Garden on Site (Highest score)

1st, 2nd, 3rd Best Garden (Best Garden above not included in these.)

Highly Commended

Highly Commended New Tenant

There is a points based scheme being used for judging. The scores are collated and the Chairman of Council is given a list of the highest scores on each site and he and the Committee Chairman tour the sites in late July for him/her to decide which three are awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes overall. The system allows for awards to be presented on a ratio of about one award per 10 gardens.
